Situational judgement test: free practice

A situational judgement test describes something that could happen in your first year at work, then gives you a few ways to respond. Here you pick the most effective and the least effective. It checks how you’d handle the job day to day, so there’s no maths and nothing to learn first.

Tips for the real one

  • Read the firm’s values before a real one: the best answers usually match them.
  • Doing nothing, or hiding a problem, is rarely a good answer.
  • Strong answers deal with the problem early and keep the right person informed.

Who uses them

Slaughter and May, AstraZeneca, Unilever and bp all say on their own pages that their application process includes one. Real ones are usually longer, and many are timed. The firm’s invite tells you which test it uses, and how long you get.

These questions are Apprenza’s own, written in the same style. They aren’t any employer’s or test provider’s real questions.
