Logical reasoning test: free practice

A logical (deductive) reasoning test gives you a few facts or rules, such as who goes in which order or which statements are true of a group, and asks what must, could or cannot be true. Everything you need is in the question, so it rewards working step by step.

Tips for the real one

  • Draw it: a row of seats, a week of days or a queue makes the rules easier to hold.
  • Start with the rule that fixes something outright, like a name in a set place.
  • “Some” means at least one. It doesn’t tell you anything about the rest.

Who uses them

PwC, KPMG, bp, Barclays, Rolls-Royce and Arup all say on their own pages that their application process includes one. Real ones are usually longer, and many are timed. The firm’s invite tells you which test it uses, and how long you get.

These questions are Apprenza’s own, written in the same style. They aren’t any employer’s or test provider’s real questions.
